Bakketun & Norum’s Forgotten where they belong follows the dust of a book shelf spread by the wind. The framework of the installation is an appartment in Oslo filled with art works, old books, and antiques, - former possesions of Bakketun’s great grand dad, the art collector Harald Holst Halvorsen. Tracking the collector’s biography and aquaintances, the duo has both immersed in bereaved objects and traveled to various destinations abroad. The installation consists of two video works. The projection D68: Travelogue, is made from footage shot duirng trips the duo have made, revealing cityscapes and other constructed sites, adjusted or changed through the course of history. Perpetuum Mobile: Second chapter, showed on a LCD-monitor, is a combination of private footage and perfomances, with an audience and with the camera as the only spectator, where imitated characters and events from the art history are blended freely.
Bakketun & Norum unite their individual projects, constructing their own universe, with the improvised art works which alternate between participants and observers.

Installasjonen er preget av et lekent samarbeid og har et bredt kunstnerisk perspektiv, som med fysiske, konkrete referanser skaper et stort rom hvor tiden flyter. Blant annet tar kunstnerne utgangspunkt i den intime situasjonen av en leilighet som et historisk ladet sted, live-feed fra Oslo Kunstforening, egne filmer og bearbeidet arkivmateriale som sammen bidrar til en kaleidoskopisk opplevelse av tid og rom. Presentasjonen er lagdelt med både statiske elementer og levende bilder. Slik genereres et flerdimensjonalt verk hvor publikum også selv beveger seg innenfor et rammeverk i utstillingen som inviterer til en personlig analytisk erfaring.
Sparebankstiftelsen DNBs kunststipend tildeles for å oppmuntre og støtte kunstnere i etableringsfasen. Som en del av stipendet får vinneren også tilbud om en separatutstilling ved Oslo Kunstforening.
